Useful information for weddings

The Marriage Preparation Course is designed for couples considering marriage and wishing to build a strong and lasting relationship.

While based on Christian principles, it is relevant and helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background.  The application form is available to be completed on-line: Online WeddingApplication or can be printed and completed: Printable wedding application form

The Church of England has created a website which answers a lot of questions and has some great ideas and suggestions - follow this link to have a look!  www.yourchurchwedding.org

A sample of an Order of Service is available here.  It's your wedding so please adapt it to suit yourselves: the vicar taking the service will be happy to check it before you get it printed.  (different vicars may like the service to be in a different order)

The fees for getting married in church are calculated by the church of England.  Please follow this link to see what it would cost you: www.yourchurchwedding.org/article/the-cost-of-church-weddings/

Where you live makes a difference:

If you live in a different parish you need to show that you qualify to get married at our church.  As well as completing the wedding application form please also complete this form so we can ensure you are eligible to get married at either St Andrew's or St Michael's or St Thomas's.  Qualifying Connections Form

If you live in Colnbrook, Horton or Wraysbury but are getting married at a church elsewhere you will need your Banns read at the Parish church where you live.  You can request this by completing this Banns Request online Form or by printing this Banns Application form  and  completing it and returning it to the parish church

The procedure for issuing a Marriage Certificate changed on 4th May 2021. Certificates are no longer issued by the church but by the registry office. Please use this link to request a certificate for a wedding held after 4th May 2021. https://my.rbwm.gov.uk/webform/request-marriage-certificates
